After arriving on-site, we carried out a full diagnostic inspection using our specialist dealer-level equipment. We checked all

the common causes of this type of fault.

Following our diagnosis, we confirmed that the fault was caused by the customer's key losing synchronisation with the Mercedes-Benz Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS).

As there was no working key available, the vehicle had to be treated as an all keys lost job.

The Solution – Programming a New Key Directly to the EIS

To get the customer back on the road, we carefully removed the Mercedes-Benz EIS module and programmed a brand-new key directly to the unit using our specialist Mercedes-Benz EIS key programming equipment.

Once the programming was complete, the EIS was reinstalled, the new key was fully tested, and the vehicle started immediately with no further issues.

The customer was back on the road in no time without the need for expensive dealership repairs.
